Joy ( A Poem)

Some people see. Some people don’t see nothin at all. Yet- people equal. Equal

Take a sip, better yet a gulp!

One person pushes you. Another person Pulls. Yet- People equal. Equal.

Take a sip, better yet a gulp!

Some people get it. Others dont. Yet- people equal. Equal.

Drink up, drink up! GULP!

Like orange juice and pop tarts for breakfast it sends my sugar levels high!

But what about joy!

We can all have joy..

Free, painted in the sky by the hand of almighty GOD!

Joy unspeakable.

They all sit and wonder why this joy I have I cannot hide!

No need to question my pride!

People equal, equal.

Grab you a slice, take a big bite, let it sit in your soul. Fill you up, overflow.

Its easy, Free, refreshed, true!

Joy, jOy, joY!

Do you want it on your rice and gravy?

Do you want it on your biscuits maybe?

DO you want it on your black eye peas?

How you like it? Ill surely help you..

Sauteed, Fried, steamed, Boiled, or with french fries.

Cool soda on the side. JOy in a can.. Sounds mighty nice!

My mother said shine your light on the world. My mother said “Shine That Light, little girl!” I want you to have joy! Deep joy! Unmistakable joy! Cant nothing steal your joy, JOY. JOy in the morning, Joy in the evening, Joy at supper time JOY.

Life is not promised, tomorrow may never show up. You better hold this cup close to you, drink up, drink up!

Feed it to me, ill share it with you forever..

And when you finally grab a hold of it keep a portion in your pocket and a picture in your head and you will never feel lonely at night when your in bed. Your slice of joy will sing to you and pretty picture bring to you a dozen dreams to dance for you at night when your in bed…

So keep a portion in your pocket and a picture in your head and you will never feel lonely at night when your in bed.
